The Rise of Employee Wellbeing

The past 12 months have seen immense disruption and change for the global workforce and the impact of that has been significant on the mental health for employees. A study found that mental health related absenteeism alone, cost the UK £14 billion in 2020.


With this figure set to rise, companies need to act. Which is why, as a KPI, employee health and wellbeing is no longer a nice to have – it is a necessity.



2021 will see a continued shift towards developing a more public health-focused approach to managing workforce health and wellbeing.

Studies have shown  that organisations that introduced health and wellness activities and support witnessed a 30-40% improvement in productivity, loss of which was previously linked to poor health. It is prudent to note that research shows that younger employees are particularly at risk when it comes to experiencing poor mental health, and older employees are more likely to be suffering with a chronic health condition.

An Audience with Ravi

On 4th March, Ravi Summan hosted a virtual event

On 4th March, ‘An Audience with Ravi’, brought together leading practitioners and experts from sports, mindset performance, yoga and exercise, nutrition. The event gained attendance from delegates in UK and Swedish companies, leadership practitioners and also from health practitioners in North America.

Bhavisha Pankhania:

Bhavisha Pankhania is a passionate, certified teacher of yoga, meditation and other forms of healing. She has been practicing and teaching yoga and breath work since 2006.

As Bhavisha explains about her work: ‘My mission and purpose in life is to share this knowledge and amazing gift with all those who seek it and to anyone who asks. So that they may reap the benefits of these practices and use the peace this brings to enhance every facet of their lives.’
